[Maya draws in a breath of that joint into her mouth without breathing it into her lungs, holding it there as she lifts Merlin's chin just the slightest bit more with a touch of the very tips of her claws. Whether Hanna can see or not, Maya's lips don't come too close to Merlin's— just close enough to breathe that air back out and into Merlin's mouth, for him to take instead.]
