[She might not be able to hear his heartbeat, but she can certainly still tell he's acting... a little strangely. Normally they're able to converse pretty easily— but now, even, he's switched topics so fast. Almost like he's afraid to hear he isn't her favorite— or, maybe, scared to hear he is.

[Picking her own glass up, she downs the liquid all in one go like it's nothing— a feat she is certainly not capable of while not a demon. But when you burn so hot (hot enough to burn off some of that fuel, perhaps?) the sting of alcohol goes down as smooth as warm water.]
Well, okay, it's a little weird, being two different monsters at the same time.
